I am the founding director of the Tsikinya-Chaka Centre for the study of Shakespeare, Transnationalism and Multilingualism at Wits University. Find out more about the TCC here.
I have also been the president of the Shakespeare Society of Southern Africa (SSOSA) since 2016 and I edit the journal Shakespeare in Southern Africa. Have a browse through Shakespeare ZA - you’ll see that there is lots to explore.
Together, the TCC and SSOSA publish books, support educators and artists, organise conferences and more!
I’ve always been a keen runner. In June 2019 I earned a Bill Rowan medal at the Comrades Marathon and was able to raise funds for Wits University students. I did this again in October 2023 when I took on the “Grail of Trail”, the Otter African Trail Run. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
And the next big race? Suggestions are welcome . . .
